How will I know how much turf is needed to cover my lawn?Turf is usually measured per square metre (1 roll=1m²). To calculate how much will be needed, simply multiply the two sides of your lawn together. If your lawn is not rectangular in shape, divide your lawn into smaller squares or triangles and calculate the area of each section. Add all sections together to get the total amount of turf you will need. (Area of triangle is base x height divided by 2)
Do you provide turf installation services or do you just supply turf?Our experienced staff at J&B Buffalo Turf Supplies can deliver freshly picked turf for home, commercial and industrial projects. We can also help you in laying the turf, but we cannot do the preparation work. We can help you get in contact with somebody who can help you with this task.
How big are the rolls that you supply?We usually supply rolls that are 2.2 metres long and 0.45 metres wide (totalling 1 square meter). The weight of each roll varies depending on the weather and variety of the turf. It may weigh 4kg minimum to 10 kg maximum.
How much lead time does it need to process an order?You can tell us when you want your turf delivered. Our friendly staff will help arrange logistics for your order’s delivery. We can also arrange for same day delivery for your convenience.
Can you supply turf all year round?We can. Because our turf nurseries are located on the Hawkesbury/Nepean River, we are assured of constant water supply. We are never affected by drought weather conditions and our turf can be grown on premium conditions. This means you are getting the best turf possible at any season that you need it.
I want to have beautiful and lush lawn. When is the best time to lay new lawn to achieve this?Your new lawn can be laid any time of the year. Just remember these two tips: When laying down turf in warmer weather, you will need more water to help the grass take root quicker. In cooler months, your turf won’t require as much water but you have to understand that it is natural for it to take longer to establish on your lawn.
